WYSING is what sold me on the Mac initially. I still think it is its strongest selling point (along with what _was_ as simple, straightforward user interface.) God help me, though, I bought an Amiga. Want a new font on your disk? No problem. Copy it onto the disk, into the folder called (what else) "Fonts". No magic, no separate installer program needed. I have VizaWrite for the Amiga. It is essentially a MacWrite clone (handles graphics a little better). Hooked up to a Panasonic 1091i printer, it gives results comparable to MacWrite with a Imagewriter. It is strange behaving at times, but an update is "on the way". I have my colors set for black text, gray borders, white background, red cursor. Looks about the same as what I used to get me through school. The jist of all this is the Mac really does allow us to expect more out of our computers. In certains aspects, it could be seen as a goal to be obtained. But a few lessons could be learned from watching how others are interpreting the idea of an "intuitive, user friendly" interface. I find being able to diddle "system stuff" without using having to use DA/Font mover and ResEdit really refreshing. Darnit, it is more intuitive. Hal
