I presume that many of you have seen the ad in the latest MacWorld advertising the new Hi Top monitor (8x15 inches). I've been mulling over getting one for some time, but they're quite expensive. Except his one. $995!!! That is, *if* you order before December 1, after which time the price with be $1395. So, I'd like some info on this beast as fast as e-mail can travel. I tried to get some info out of the guy at the company that is selling this thing (my MacWorld is in my office, I'm typing this at home, so unfortunately I don't recall the company's name, but I can't wait until Monday to post this) but the guy was an absolute i*d*o*. I wanted to know if large page displays caused any performance degradation, since after all, the Mac has to move a lot more memory around to handle the larger display. He said, "Oh no, it still only needs 120 volts, it doesn't need any more power." I explained to him that wasn't what I meant, but I eventually said thank you and gave up. Does anyone out there know what I mean? If so, I'd like to know. Does any one know anything about this company? I believe they also sell the StretchScreen monitor (that *big* 15x15 inch one). Any and all info that you can think of pertaining to this screen, this company, and big screens in general and how they work on an SE would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
