Help, I'm stuck.
I have a scrolling field containing a variable number of lines of
text. This field is an index of information that a user has placed in
different stacks. The stack automatically places text in this field as
a result of information being added in another stack. The user does
not directly add or delete text from this field.
I am looking for a way to let the user chose one line in the field and
have that line copied to it.
Constraints:
1. I want this to be automatic for any line in the field that the
user chooses i.e. when that line is chosen, it is sent to it)
lo not want them to have to retype something that is already on
the screen.
2. It should be transparent (ie. the user unaware of anything
exceptthat he/she is chosing a name from a list.
3. The user is in browse mode.
4. the user is a Mac & hypercard neophite
5. The method should not be able to corrupt the text list in my
index.
I thought of a DoMenu copy text but couldn't figure out how to
implement it.
ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!!!
