[comp.sys.mac] LSC 2.13 upgrade bug

brian@ut-sally.UUCP (Brian H. Powell) (11/19/87)

I just got around to installing LSC 2.13 from the upgrade sent to
sumex-aim. I recompiled a major project just for grins. My compile gave me
an error: it couldn't find the constant "iPFMaxPgs" (which is a constant that
specifies the maximum number of pages that can be spooled. See the Print
Manager chapter of IM.)
I looked at PrintMgr.h, and found "iPfMaxPgs" at the end of the file.
The question is:

Has Inside Mac Volume V renamed the constant so that "iPfMaxPgs" is
correct, or did THINK goof and accidentally rename it incorrectly?

If it's the former, is it my imagination, or has Apple abandoned their
casing scheme?

I looked at the MPW Pascal 2.0 interfaces, and the constant is spelled
"iPfMaxPgs", with the lower-case "f". It could be a minor slipup
on Apple's part, it could be a change in casing scheme, or
it could be none of the above.

I think that one instance of a case change doesnt constitute
an "abandonment" of the casing scheme.
