[comp.sys.mac] Format of Archived Programs

  In search of UW, I FTP-ed the necessary files from the archives
on SUMEX-AIM.STANFORD.EDU.  I assume that "uncompressing" or 
"uncompacting" is the next step but the files aren't in that format.
Can someone tell me what the next step is?  

p.s  I know UW has been posted to comp.binaries.mac
