Now that I have 2.5Megs on my SE, I want to make use of it. I don't
have multifinder yet, so for the time being I trying to make do with
Switcher. I believe the version is 5.1, but I am not sure. In any case
strange things are happening. In particular, when I try to load Word
with Switcher, it complains that there isn't enough memory. Lightspeed
C complains of something else and terminates (does crash, just won't
load). SuperPaint and TurboPascal both load okay. I've been hearing
all kinds of conflicting reports on whether Switcher works anymore
with the lastest system, so I tried an older system (one without the
Restart option under Special) and it behaved in the same manner.
Furthermore, before I got the 2.5 upgrade, I was using Word in
Switcher and it appeared to work okay. But now with 2.5Megs, it
not longer works.
What is the real story behind Switcher? Does it work or doesn't it?
If its a time bomb, then I'll dump it and wait for Multi-finder.
Apple, you must know the answer to this question?
