"Ultimate Spinach evolved into Steely Dan; and no, I don't think I'll discuss the origin of "Steely Dan" here. Suffice to say that it refers to an inanimate object featured in an X-rated flick." Actually Steely Dan I ,II, and III were dildos referred to in a private porn movie in the novel Naked Lunch. Lets see ... good album titles "Alleged in their own time" by the Holy Modal Rounders "Men opening umbrellas ahead" by Vivian Stanshall ( the cover has a "men working ahead" type European traffic sign on it. It shows the silhouette of a man shovelling. looks like ...) "Ruth is stranger than Richard" by Robert Wyatt "Bowi" by Nick Lowe. Came out after "Low" by David Bowie. "Max" by The Rumour. Came out after "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac. Less notable: "Chewing hides the sound" by Snakefinger. "Melon Collie Lassie" by The Residents. "Brutality Religion and a Dance Beat" by Big in Japan and The Chuddy Nuddies "Dry Dreams" by Jim Carroll "Greener Postures" by Snakefinger "Womb to worm" by Snakefinger "Emission Control" by The Suicide Commandos Inscrutable: "The Sixties Seventies + Eighties ------------ TAXI = SLY and ROBBIE oh, and almost forgot "Kimono My House" by Sparks
