Under multifinder, I've had a few different programs bomb, claiming they needed more memory, when "About Finder" tells me there is more than enough memory in the largest unused block. e.g. trying to run the Tempo installer, it asked for 300-some K, and about finder told me that there was over 500K, but the installer still bombed. What is going on and what can I do about it? thanks, Margot Flowers Flowers@CS.UCLA.EDU ...!{ucbvax|ihnp4}!ucla-cs!flowers

Did you do a get information on the applications you wanted to run while under multifinder and give them more memory to run in? Do a get info from the finder while running multifinder and see what I mean.

Just do a "get-info" on the application and set the application memory size to something larger. (See my recent posting on an interesting consequence of a small memory partition on VersaTerm-Pro).
