Has anyone tried to boot an AppleShare fileserver under Multifinder? I tried it with the AppleShare server application set as a default startup application, but it bombed immediately. I was trying this on a Mac SE with a GCC HyperCharger 020 and 2.5Mb of RAM on the 020 board. It seems to me that this is necessary in order to run some type of backup software in the background that has a timed-backup capability. I am using AST-4000s as my fileserver disks with an additional CMS 60Mb drive. AST told me that their new DataVault backup software would run under Multifinder and allow timed-backup of AppleShare fileservers (incidentally, the timed-backup feature of DataVault cannot be shifted to the background at this time). Apple - is running AppleShare under Multifinder going to be possible in the near future? TOPS - does your fileserver software run under Multifinder thereby allowing timed-backup capability?
