How do you install multiple foreign scripts in a single System file? I've installed the relevant itl?, KSWP, SICN, and LOCA resources in System 4.2, and AIS and KanjiTalk both work except that they compete for itlc 0 so I have to go in and renumber it by hand and then move INITs and reboot to switch scripts. Is there a more elegant way to do this? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oliver Steele ...!{decvax,ihnp4}!mcnc!unc!steele steele%unc@mcnc.org "Life isn't fair. Is there a more elegant way to do this? You have done all the proper things to have multiple scripts in your system. I too have multiple scripts in mine (although the two that I use are Hebrew and Arabic (HEIS and AIS)). The reason that they compete for itlc #0 is that this resource is only used by the system at boot time to determine what the system script is to be. I set this for 0 (Roman, or Standard) and then I can switch to either of the others without any trouble. If you use Suitcase, you might want to consider, if you don't mind usinga bit of ResEdit patching of Suitcase, using it to load in your script resources as well without having them clog up your system file. I do this and have found no problems at all with thi, and my system file thanks me for keeping it clean. +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + | + + Leonard Rosenthol | USnail: 205 E.
