My sister and her husband own a farm. They grow things like cabbage and other related leafy vegetables. They have passed the point of manual management and need a computer. All their advisors say "Buy a PC!" but I say not to be hasty. Is there a good farm management package available for the Mac (there are apparently lots for the PC world)? It should be able to cover as many aspects of a typical business, as well as those specific to farming. Canadian oriented packages are preferred, but any information would be appreciated. Just for your information, I showed my sister how HyperCard could be used to manage their fields. They could have a card representing a map of their property and when they click on a particular field on the map, it will tell them what they have planted in it, when harvest is expected, etc. They do this all manually now in a note book. If there's a system like this available for the Mac as part of a complete farm package, that would be great! Thanks for your help. -- Peter Steele Acadia Univ.
