I have a interesting question that I would like to see answered. We have an IBM AT with expansion memory here that has an expansion board for it that (again IBM's) that uses SIMMS. Does anyone know if these SIMMS are compatible with the Mac II. I realize the speed requirement (120ns) and I can check that by the part number (hopefully on the SIMMS). The real question is of course is the 'pin out' on the SIMMS the same between the two. I am sure that they are 256K density SIMMS with 9 bits wide /SIMM. I also realize that the Mac II does not use a parity bit. Would that extra bit just be ignored on the Mac II or (more likely) are the parts (Mac II SIMM) and (IBM SIMM) just totally incompatible. It just seems sad to use a megabyte RAM disk on the IBM (lots of SIMMS going to waste!). Paul Fons FONS@uxc.cso.uiuc.edu FONS@uiucvmd (BITNET)
