[comp.sys.mac] background printing w/ ImageWriter

Are there any public domain/shareware programs which will allow
me to do print stuff on my ImageWriter IN THE BACKGROUND?  

MultiFinder has "PrintMonitor" for doing background printing to
a LaserWriter; does anyone know if they plan to come out with
a version for the ImageWriter?

P.S. SuperSpool will do what I want, but I'm looking
     for a cheaper alternative...
