I made quite a few changes to my SE/HD20 lately and started getting ID 2 bombs where the file being worked on was blown away. Upgraded (all at once so I can't blame anything in particular) to new system software, Works1.1 and WorksPlusSpell1.1. Had several INITS installed, AutoBlack as Macsbug, MacInTalk PopKeys, Welcome2, and FastLaunch. Due to lack of memoryitis, not running MultiFinder. Out of the blue, bombs started happening where the file, even though it had been saved, was truncated to about 500 bytes and all data was lostCouldn't pinpoint anything. Did 2 things. 1. Removed all F-keys outside those numbered 0-9 from PopKeys and removed the FastLaunchInit (FastLaunching documents or applications using SafeLaunch DA or Fkeys is a sure bomb under MF) 2. Removed CPS Save Deletes Init. Bombs no more, but I'm still saving as filename and filename.bak everytime I save just for insurance. Anyone else seen these problems? -- Maurice lriggins@afit-ab.ARPA
