moriarty@tc.fluke.COM (Jeff Meyer) (12/27/87)
Just received the new version of QuicKeys from CE Software (Rev. 1.1),
free of charge -- I haven't examined it yet, but it seems to mainly fix
several MultiFinder incompatibilities, added "recording" capabilities
within QuicKeys, an Open and Save set command in QuicKeys, editing of
QuicKey sequences *within* QuicKeys, ability to cut, copy and paste
QuicKey sequences, and an enhanced Click feature. Some other changes
have been made to Quick Access.
Also, a note was made that if you own DiskTop (I assume 3.01), they will
(FINALLY) have an update that makes it compatible under MultiFinder (i.e.
Find and other functions don't cause it to blow up). "It falls under the
usual update policy" -- send you license number and $7 for an update
disk. I am, because there is no handier DA for me than DiskTop...
Finally, Christmas Warning -- Apache Strike came in just before I left
home for the holidays (I am currently writing from the comfortable Meyer
dynasty manse in Portland, stuffed to the gills with good food and trying
out the 2400 baud modem) -- thanks to Tim Celeski for notifying me that
the Savings Zone had a couple copies left. This is an arcade game, and
has all the positive (exciting, fast refresh, good sound and graphics)
and negative (repetitive, no save game feature) features of this category
of computer games. It is, however, addicting as hell, especially with a
joystick. $28 and no copy protection, so it fits on your hard disk. God
help you...
Best wishes for '88, blah blah blah...
