All this discussion about an INIT manager is pointless. CE Software, as mentioned here before, has written an INIT to do all this. It is called AASK. It runs first, and if the space bar is down when it comes up, then it shows all your INITS, icons and all, and lets you select the ones you want to execute, or "ALL on" or "ALL off", for this run (temporary) or permenantly. I have used it (evaluated it) and plan to PAY FOR IT! It helped me debug an "INIT causing problems" problem. So Apple, don't bother, CE has it covered..... Phil Hunt
