clubmac@runx.ips.oz (Macintosh Users Group) (01/07/88)

I have posted the d'Librarian package to comp.binaries.mac. Here are
some notes that will help you understand what it does.

Enjoy!

d'Librarian 2.0 is a fully-fledged disk catalogger that is shareware.

d'Librarian 2.42d is a demo of the registered user's version you receive
if you pay me for the use of d'Librarian 2.0 and the postage (you provide
the disk). As it is merely a demo, printing, saving and opening of files
are disabled. However the demo has many extra features that are not found
in 2.0.

These include :

% Multi-column printing. You can print 1 to 255 columns ! (not really
available in the demo version as printing is disabled - sorry, but you can
see an example of it in the enclosed FullPaint file).

% Edit attributes - so you can display only the file-name if you want to
or everything, and in whatever order you want. This works both when saving
as text and when printing.VERY USEFUL !! (Invoke it using Command-E).

% A little bit of colour so your mac]['s don't look so dull.

% A Ruler marker so that you can visually adjust the width of your display
and ensure all text will fit when you do multi-column printing.

% Copying using the clipboard. Useful with disk-labellers and when editting
text.

% Fine-tuning the number of characters in a file-name to display. Useful to
tighten your columns when printing. (Invoke it using Command-E).

% Fully switcher and multi-finder compatible.

% File-filtering to prevent printing of unwanted files.(Invoke it using
Command-L).

I have decided to bundle the general distribution version this way as an
inducement to people to register. I suspect many people out there are using
my d'Librarian 2.0 but are unaware of the vast improvements I have made to
the program. These improvements will only benefit registered users.
So I'm waiting for your cheques with anticipation !

John Lim

PS: Send your order of $35 + 1 disk to
18 Nottingwood St.Doncaster East, 3109, Victoria, AUSTRALIA.

Remember to read the terms of registration in the Shareware Notice within
the programs.

Included will be at least 150K of (readable) documentation.
