I have experience with both the Apple EtherTalk board and with the Kinetics EtherPort II board. I have found both to be quite suitable for Ethernet Communications (although my particular EtherTalk board is not feeling well right now) on the AppleTalk and TCP/IP protocol levels. (TCP/IP using NCSA Telnet will get about 80KB, yes I mean Kilo Bytes, to the internal 40MB disk on the II, and about 29-35KB when Multi-Finder is active). EtherTalk cards should be available now from dealers, get in touch with Kinetics about the availabilty of their board. Gaige Paulsen National Center for Supercomputing Applications
