Let me see if I understand you correctly - you do NOT want to get updates to software? For instance, you want all shareware authors to quite giving support? Apple, ATT, Berkeley, Microport, Microsoft, and IBM should get off of Usenet? Columbia shouldnt post Kermit newsletters, etc? The X group and GNU group should get off the net? Perhaps you would like the entire net shut down? Flames off... I suppose this is going to degenerate into another of the "I dont use your hardware/software/operating system so why should I pay to carry your mail" arguments that are so wasteful of $$$... sigh.
