I have a MacPlus at home, and suffer the nuisance of keyboard switching, since I work on a II in the office, with the new extended keyboard. Since Apple appears never to have made two keyboards the same, this has been a bit of a bother. I recently noticed an ad for the DataDesk MAC-101 keyboard (MacUser Jan, 88, p 201). From the photo in the ad, the keyboard appears very similar (but not identical) to the Extended keyboard on the II. How compatible are they? Does anyone know anything about the company? If it really is nearly identical, it is certainly a cheaper way of getting to work on one keyboard than buying an SE to replace my Plus! But once burned (I don't mean by this company), twice shy, as they say. Thanks for any comments or advice. Prof. Bert Buckley buckley@dalcs.uucp (direct via uunet)
