I've noticed adds for Micah disks drives in the latest issues of Macazine and MacUser that offer a 2 year warranty, 30 day money back guarantee, PowerOp disk optimizer, and the ability to go in an SE without displacing an existing floppy or hard disk. Since I hadn't seen an add for them in months I was wondering what their story was. They are now located in Delaware which seems to be a new location to me. Anyone have any info on their past or present status or performance as a company? I gave them a call and they are using 3.5 inch form factor drives made by PTI and Miniscribe. The internal SE models come in 20, 30, 40, and 60 Meg sizes, feature an 8k disk cache on the embedded SCSI controller, and use a 1:1 interleave. The prices for the 20, 30, and 40 are $649, $839, and $899 which are lower than the Jasmine InnerDrive SE or the ProApp SEi. Does anyone have any experience with PTI drive mechanisms? Or more specifically, these models from Micah?
