I use a 2 meg Mac with an external 800k disk and no hard disk. Could I make full use of FullWrite with such a system if I used a ram disk to hold some of the extras dohickeys? (I think IBM sells machines with 1.44 megabyte 3.5" drives. Will such higher-density drives be available for Macs? "Newer ROM upgrades", anyone?) Since then, I haven't heard a word about this. I have successfully used FullWrite (WITHOUT the "doohickeys", i.e., dictionary, thesaurus) on my 1M Mac Plus by putting a stripped down system and my documents onto a 400k external drive and FW on my internal 800k drive. Of course, you can't write MUCH this way, but you can play around up to about 60k. I have done the same with HyperCard, less even the 400k external drive, though again not without restrictions. On the other hand, I just ordered a 30M RLL-encoded drive from Cutting Edge ... Fritz Ruehr (kfr@zippy.eecs.umich.edu) My employer disclaims me.

You've got FullWrite (~800K), the dictionaries and Thesauruses (which are together (I believe) around ~250K); and then FullWrite needs 1 Meg of RAM to run in... Hmmm... Maybe if you could get the dictionaries and thesaurus on the startup floppy, and load FW into the RamDisk... geez, but it'd be close.
