Can someone provide me a pointer to software that does "Cohen's Power
Calculations" on the Mac? How about a set of Excel macros? If necessary,
I'll write the macros myself, but was hoping that someone might already have
done that. For the curious, power calculations allow you to estimate the
minimum sample size necessary when doing research, e.g., if I have a health risk
behavior reduction research project, how many participants do I need in the
study in order to demonstrate that a decrease in health risk behaviors
from 40% to 30% in the sample population is statistically significant and
hopefully attributable to the intervention.
