I recently purchased SUITCASE and I am having problems with getting all of the extra fonts to show up in ms WORD 3.01. I have tried the fonts in macwrite and htey all show up. Only 7 out of 19 fonts show up. (btw they are bookman, chicago, geneva, monaco,N halvetica narrow,New York,Zapf dingbats). Note that system fonts are missing as well as SUITCASE fonts. Can anyone enlighten me as to what I can do to get my shiny new program to work with my idiosyncratic word processor??? Unfortunately, Word (brain-damaged) doesn't put all the fonts up on the font menu bar. You have to select format->character then the fonts from suitcase will be visible in the dialog box. Then to install them on the menu bar you have to hit control-option-+ or some such absurd combination for EVERY FONT that you want. Could take some time if you have a lot of them.

Only a limited number of fonts are available through the FONTS menu. For a complete list of available fonts, use the CHARACTER... selection under the FORMAT menu (you must set Word to FULL MENUS under the EDIT menu). You can also customize the FONT menu to include or exclude any and all fonts. Check the documentation. Chris Kelley

To make it easier, you can OPT-CMD-+ just once and then shift click the rest of the way. Saves wear and tear on the fingers. All things considered I think this is a rather annoying feature of Word. It's also a very nice feature of word to customize the font menu. Why on earth would I want to have to scroll all the way down the list of fonts if I want to use Zaph Chancery if the majority of the time I only use Time, Palatino, and Helvetica? It's nice just being able have the fonts that you use and nothing else. And on those rare occasions, the added effort to hit a cmd-D is minimal...
