We charge people 15 cents a page to print on the LaserWriter hooked up to our Mac network. This requires the operator to collect the output and count the pages manually, hoping that everyone has remembered to print a cover page when they queue their jobs. Is there a way to hook into the laserwriter driver so that each time a page is sent to the laserprinter accounting information is updated for the user printing the job? Furthermore, is there a way to hook into the laserwriter driver so that we could force a banner page (possibly one of our own creation), to be printed with each job. I realize this is a tall order, but we would really appreciate any and all comments on this issue. (Would Inside Laser Writer be of any help to us?) -- Peter Steele Acadia Univ.
