Is there a device to dial a touch-tone phone so that someone without a modem could use a hypercard rolodex to dial the phone automatically? If you place the phone receiver close to the speaker of the Mac when the touch tones are played, the phone will use that sound information to place the call and the call will go through (at least, it worked on mine).

I've seen Hyper Dialer, which is probably exactly what you're looking for. It is a samll box that sends the touch-tone beeps to the phone, and it is made to interface with HyperCard. I haven't actually used the product, I've only seen it for sale for about $25 here in Ithaca. A poor man's solution is to 1) Get the dialtone, 2) Hold your phone's receiver up to the Mac's speaker, 3) Tell HyperCard to dial the number. This works at times, and it's free.
