I'm writing a device driver and am having trouble opening it. I have the
driver in a DRVR resource, but when I call OpenDriver with the name of the
resource, I get back error -43. I get the impression that this isn't working
because my driver isn't in the unit table. The only way I know to install it
is through the DrvrInstall trap, but this isn't documented in Inside Macintosh.
This gives me the feeling that Apple doesn't want people to use it, and
besides, I don't know how to use it. Is there a documented way of writing and
using a device driver that I missed?
