I have a couple of large binary files (approx. 100k after binhexing) that I am preparing for submission to comp.binaries.mac. Are there any guidelines for splitting up long .Hqx postings? What is the reason for splitting the files, and what is the suggested size for the separated parts? I would just as soon post them as single large files, unless there is a reason not to. -- Julian Vrieslander (607) 255-3594 Neurobiology & Behavior, W250 Mudd Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca NY 14853 UUCP: {cmcl2,decvax,rochester,uw-beaver,ihnp4}!cornell!batcomputer!eacj ARPA: eacj@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu BITNET: eacj@CRNLTHRY

I think that the binaries are always split into about 32K pieces so that all the various networking programs that notes uses don't break. Smokefoot "Don't quote me on this..."
