If you (or anyone else) is interested in ported FORTRAN I would suggest tht you look into a product called FaceIt, by Dan Kampmeier. Called McFace in a previous life, FaceIt now works with any language (as a set of CODE resources) and will add a VERY NICE Mac interface on top of your existing code with little or almost no effort on your part. For example MatLab, a very well now math package for Mainframes and the PC was quickly and easily ported to he Mac using it and one could not tell that it did not start on the Mac. FaceIt features such things as unlimited Text and Graphics windows (and what you can do with these windows need to be seen to be belived!!!) He also makes background tasking under MultiFinder a Snap, and much much more... If I peaked anyone curiousity you can either checkk out his ads in Mac Tutor or call the author directly at (217) 328-5842. (Disclaimer: I know the author personally and have helped him with the product) +---------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ + + Any thing I say may be taken as + + Leonard Rosenthol + fact, then again you might decide+ + President, LazerWare, inc. + that it really isn't, so you + + + never know, do you?? + + leonardr@uxe.cso.uiuc.edu + + + GEnie: MACgician + + + Delphi: MACgician + + + + + +---------------------------------+-----------------------------------+
