As the vote taker for the proposed comp.binaries.hypercard group, I thought it was better if I stayed out of the discussion about the group. However, there has been a great deal of "negative campaigning" by people against the group, so I've reconsidered my position. As you can see from the previous posting with the vote upgrade in it, the vote is, at this time, quite close (remember that it takes 100 more yes votes than no votes to create a new group). A lot of no votes have come in recently, compared to very few yes votes. I think this is because the no votes are martialing their forces ... If you are one of those who is in favor of the group, but hasn't voted because you thought the issue was settled, please mail in your vote. We need every yes vote we can get at this point. I will continue to accept all votes are sent from your system through Wednesday, March 16 (that, I believe, is one month after the voting began). Since I will be out of town on the 16th and 17th (in NYC to see Phantom of the Opera!), I'll post the final tally on the 18th, after I get back. If you are looking for the fastest mail path to me - choose the path through allegra. Though the path to amcad is fast, amcad often has trouble getting through to husc6. husc6, at Harvard, is a very busy machine...
