Well, to add by $0.02 to the discussion about moving the cursor into the window you want typing to go into under SunTools... The command windows for SunTools are (primarily) text input windows. For Macintosh windows, this is less clear cut. Click to activate makes (in my mind) more sense in a more graphics oriented environment. For the Macintosh, with more graphics oriented windows, click to activate makes sense. For the Sun, you have options to have click to select or move cursor into window to select. In my opinion, it would not be terribly difficult to implement such a feature under MultiFinder. It would require installing perhaps VBL task to watch the mouse position and some help from MultiFinder for the context switching. These are my own views and not those of Apple. PS I think that the thread about Mac user interface vs. the world has potential to point out strengths and weaknesses of all user interfaces being discussed. No one interface is perfect. But rabid postings from highly biased individuals just contribute to flamage and not to the intellectual discourse. Enough proselytizing from me. -- ------------------------ Byron Han, Communications Tool ---------------------- Apple Computer, Inc. 20525 Mariani Ave, MS 27Y Cupertino, CA 95014 ATTnet:408-973-6450 applelink:HAN1 domain:han@apple.COM MacNET:HAN GENIE:BYRONHAN COMPUSERVE:72167,1664 UUCP:{sun, voder, nsc, decwrl}!apple!han
