[comp.sys.mac] Peripherial Land Drives

atchison@hpindda.HP.COM (Lee Atchison) (03/08/88)

What do people think of Peripherial Land hard disks? In particular, the
PL30? I am trying to decide between this and a Jasmine 20MByte drive.
According to the review in MacWorld, the PL30 is a LOT faster than the
Jasmine (ie. something like 20 or 30ms average seek, as opposed to 85ms
for the Jasmine). I am able to purchase either for about the same price.
Is the Peripherial Land drive a good drive?

Thanks for any help.

I have a PL30I and couldnt be more happy with it. It is fast, quiet, and
works quite well.

Easy to install, comes with a case for your old 800K floppy, great deal. I
picked mine up at MacWorld expo from MAC in berkley. Got a good deal too,
~$650...
As I was riding the elevator in the parking lot a guy from MacUser mag got
in and commended me for my choice... whatever thats worth.

I say the big thumbs up.
