There's a new version of the HyperDrive ROMS that you'll need, but beyond
that, no hardware modification needs to be made to the HyperDrive
as long as you're not upgrading to a Mac Plus motherboard. If you are
getting a Plus motherboard, you will need a new HyperDrive daughterboard,
which will cost.
But otherwise, the new Rom set for the Hype*Drive is comparatively cheap -
about $100 - and that's all you need.
Of course, my advice is to punt the HyperDrive, upgrade to a Mac Plus and
a SCSI disk. In the long run it's more reliable and MUCH less hassle, but
in the short run it's a large chunk of $.
