Having permanent access to my company's telephone line, with permission to dial wherever I want to dial, I'd like to collect some telephone nr's of _good_, that is: reliable, friendly, open_all_night Macintosh BBS's all over the world. Could you please *MAIL* me the number of your favorite BBS? Paul PS The organization mentioned above is *not* the kind company that employed me... ;) -- Paul Molenaar "Just checking the walls" - Basil Fawlty -

This question has doubtless gone out several thousand times already, but I missed it, so here goes again. Does anyone a) own a PD bulletin board they would share, or b) know of a really good commercial BBS software package I could buy for not-megabucks? Either something that attaches to a modem directory, or even better an AppleTalk based BBS, since my modem is network-aware and can let callers be AT nodes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way, it needs to run on a Mac II or Mac SE with Radius Accellerator. Tom Cole SAS Institute {anywhere} |decvax|mcnc|rti|sas|cole

There's a Hypercard-based one circulating on the $-nets, including low-$ Genie. Haven't tried it, heard it's a little slow, but might be the ticket for cost, and speed might not be a problem on a Mac II.
