[comp.sys.mac] How to append Sound

Is there any not-extremely difficult way to append sound data files?

    I have downloaded a few sounds but would like to group a
few of them into one large sound.  I am not sure exactly how to
go about doing this, for I can't open them up with EMACS and
append, nor can I use BinHex (?) nor have I found any way with 
ResEdit or FEdit.
