Is there anything out there that lets me have multiple connections to a Unix host over my single terminal line. I know there are similar things for non-mac's and I would really go for one. I imagine several windows whose traffic is all concentrated onto the single line and then demux'ed at the other end using the pty facility in Unix. This stuff must exist! Especially now that big screens are common. ---- Dan Kerns kerns@multiflow.com Multiflow Computer (203)488-6090 ---- Dan Kerns kerns@multiflow.com Multiflow Computer (203)488-6090

Yes, there is an excellent utility called 'uw' for unix windows which does just what your looking for. The current version is available from mordor.s1.gov and is also in the info-mac archives. It is great and allows upto 7 windows in multiple unix boxes. The only feature it is missing is being able to perform file transfers while working. It does work under multifinder (boy is that the life) but it is a bit of a memory hog. -dle
