I'm sorry if these questions have been answered, but my net connection has been a little flakey.... A few questions about A/UX now that the dust has settled (a little): (1) Will A/UX work on a sped-up SE with 68020, 68881, and 68851 ? Boards like the Prodigy SE come to mind, as Levco (now Supermac) was advertising as totally Mac II compatible. Boards like General Computer's Hypercharger obviously won't, lacking the 68851 MMU (unless someone releases a piggyback upgrade ???). (2) Are non-Apple hard disks supported, such as CDC's Wren series drives, or Conner's 3.5" 100Mb, 25ms, wonder drive ? (3) Will A/UX run using some of the 24 bit video displays (RasterOps, (Rembrandt 3, NuVista, etc.) ? All, some, or none of the above ? (4) Will A/UX run on a Mac II with a 68030 upgrade using the 030's on chip MMU, or does A/UX require all of the features of the 68851 MMU, of which the 030 MMU is a subset ? And finally, Apple, when will we see A/UX distributed on tape ??? (And supporting tape backup...) I can just see ex-Sun 3 users backing up their 300+Mb drives to 800K floppies....
