The excellent advances in MFMenu, V1.2 seem to be just out of reach. It works, but when I attempt to choose either Preferences or the About... menu item, I just get a "beep". This occurs on both a Mac-Plus and Mac II. Has anyone else seen this, and is there a fix? MF Menu has the name of the file hardwired into the code. (I think it is either MF Menu or MFMenu.) You can use FEdit or ResEdit to figure out what the name should be. -- Larry Rosenstein, Object Specialist Apple Computer, Inc. 20525 Mariani Ave, MS 27-AJ Cupertino, CA 95014 AppleLink:Rosenstein1 domain:lsr@Apple.COM UUCP:{sun, voder, nsc, decwrl}!apple!lsr

So where do I get MFMenu, V1.2, or newer? IF it has been posted before, can someone re-post, please, or mail me a copy? Dick <mead@hamal.usc.edu>

I tried using MFMenus and found out that it crashes Microsoft Excel (1.0)!!!! Anytime you try to choose a menu item from Excel the Mac crashes. I try removing MFMenus and the problem goes away. As far as I can tell, this bug only appears when used with Excel, and I haven't found any other software that it fails with. The one thing that Excel is different from all my other software applications that may be causing this problem is that Excels menu bar is VERY full (ie., the last menu item comes VERY close to Multifinder icon and the MFMenu invisible menu). Could this have anything to do with the problem? Anybody know of a solution to this? thanks, -lee ---- These opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of my employer, Hewlett Packard. It's called Excel 1.04.
