[comp.sys.mac] Virus survey

copper@bgsuvax.UUCP (Chip Copper) (04/19/88)

I'm doing some research on the spread of viruses in the Macintosh community.
I would appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to answer the following
questions.

1. Have you been infected with a virus?
	a. If so, which one?
	b. How did you detect that you had it?
	c. How did you remove it?
	d. How do you think you got it?
	e. How many people are you aware that you spread it to?
	f. Did you contact those people when you found you had the virus?
	g. How much information was lost as a result of the virus?

2. Are you using any precautions to prevent yourself from becoming infected
    with a virus?
	a. If so, what are those precautions?

3. Have you changed your software aquisition habits as a result of the
    outbreak of viruses?
	a. If so, how?

4. What is your geographic location?

5. Would your site be willing to paricipate in a written survey on this topic?
	a. If so, could I please have the name and address of the
	    appropriate people to contact?

*Important* PLEASE email your responses directly back to me. Don't post
them to the net! If anyone is interested in the results of this initial
survey, please let me know.

Thank you!
