I've got a Mac SE HD20. I've also got a Robotics Courier 2400 modem that I've been using with a Wyse terminal at home. I figured it would be a good idea to get a modem cable to connect the Mac to the modem so I picked up a "Mac+ Mac SE to Hayes Modem" cable at Fry's last weekend. I plugged it all together and fired up a copy of MacTerminal that I had used before on my old Mac+. I got zilch! Absolutely no echo from the modem. The little modem lights don't blink either when I type at the keyboard or when I plug/unplug the cable. Suspecting the cable, I gave it to a friend who tried it out on his Mac+ - he had no problems. He was using a different terminal emulator program. I'd be grateful if anyone with a similar setup can suggest what I should look at next.
