[comp.sys.mac] Buick demo disk

tedj@hpcilzb.HP.COM (Ted Johnson) (04/21/88)

I *finally* got the Buick demo disk! Gee, only 4 months after filling
out the postcard at the S.F. MacWorld Expo. It's pretty cool though.

It has some cool animation in it, demonstrating how the suspension
works, how the anti-shake (or whatever) engine stuff works, etc.

It also lists the options (with prices) for all the various packages
that you can order the car with. You can configure the car however you
like, then tell it how you want to pay for it (e.g., how much down, at
what interest rate, how many payments, how long of a loan, how much
of a downpayment, etc.) and it will tell you your monthly payments and the
total repayment.

It'll even print out all this stuff on a "window sticker", using your
ImageWriter/Laser printer.

Pretty neat!

Too bad they don't have them for *real* cars, like Toyotas!

Ge, Ted, All this time I thought Toyotas were small dalls that looked like
a little wrinkled bald creature with diagonal pointy ears that had a string
which when pulled said "The force is strong in this one". Its a real car
you say Hmmm...

By the way, The macweek reader that you asked about earlier, if memory
serves me, it is available on FreeBB*.
