Just a quick note, thanks to the very prompt response to my question
about .PIT files. I scarfed (to scarf: rapidly grab some software
possibly from USENET or a BBS :-) Stuffit v1.4A and it had an unpackit
option in its (appropriately enough) option menu. Mandelbrot now runs
in glorious colour on the Mac II.
