------- My Macintosh is suddenly, and for no apparent reason, bombing. Scenario: I am in Write, but not entering text. Perhaps I am searching for a reference from my bookcase. I turn to the screen, and LO, there is the bomb with the burning fuse in an alert box, with the "restart" button. I believe that error 02 is indicated (memory?). Once recently I had turned on my Mac, but had not yet inserted a disk (I do not have a hard disk yet). For some reason, I delayed inserting a disk for two or three minutes. The blank disk icon with the question mark was on the screen. Suddenly, Wham!, the bomb box comes back. My Mac is one of the early ones, from about March or April, '84. It now has 128K ROMs, a Dove upgrade to 2 Megabytes of RAM, a double-sided internal drive, and a double-sided third party external floppy drive. Otherwise original hardware. I am running Finder 5.5 with appropriate System. This happens only occasionally, but of course it does not seem to be a healthy sign, regardless. What should I fear the most? A RAM problem? A bad power supply? Indigestion on Mount Olympus? Thanks for any help you can give me.
