I think I remember someone else having this problem some time ago, but I didn't follow the discussion. So here's the problem. Even with the brightness control turned all the way down my mac plus (used to be 512) screen is still at full brightness. With the brightness turned all the way up you can see horizontal and veritical retrace paths. I tried adjusting the potentiometer on the analog board without any success. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Am I about to lose my video completely or even the whole analog board? If the consensus is that I should get it looked at by a service center, I am looking for recommendations. Thanks in advance. Please e-mail responses; I'll summarize. Glen (dudevoir@isl.stanford.edu)
