[comp.sys.mac] Looking for nifty CDEVs/INITs/DAs

dhac@ur-tut (Darren Jay Hacker) (05/01/88)

[McLineEater's -- 20 billion served. Munch. Munch.]

I've heard about a couple of interesting CDEVs/INITs/DAs for the Mac,
including one called "Guard Dog", that locks up folders. In addition, I've
also found out about "Stars II". I've checked Sumex, but they had nothing
except "Who's who" and "Flex" (too bad I paid for Pyro! already).

Basically this is a call for all interesting, wierd, useful and/or otherwise
novel little ditties that I can plug into my system (Mac SE, 1MB, 30MB HD).
Virus killers always welcome but no viruses.

Please send whatever shareware/public domain CDEVs/INITs/DAs, whatever, and
I'll post a list of what I've come up with, if you guys are interested. As
usual, no flames, please; direct them to net.flames.

advTHANKSance

So far, among all the INITs that I have, FEED ME! and MacPuke have got top
notch honors... Most everything else I have is boring, screen saving stuff
(Autoblack, FadetoBlack, Fly Swatter, etc). And then the desktop picture
stuff (BackDrop, DeskPict, etc, etc).

Are MacPuke and FEED ME! PD? If so, could someone please mail a
copy to me? Shutdown sounds are great to plant on your manager's
machine, but I can just imagine his reaction to MacPuke!! (No
he doesn't read notes!)

Thanks in Advance

Rick Klaus
