[comp.sys.mac] Ready, Set, Go! 4.0a -- FREE UPGRADE

davidl@inteloc.intel.com (David Levine) (06/10/88)

I just received, quite unexpectedly, a disk from Letraset containing Ready,
Set, Go! 4.0a: an upgrade to RSG 4.0. This release adds a few new features
and fixes a few pesky bugs. It also claims complete compatibility with
MultiFinder (although I hadn't noticed any problems with 4.0 under
MultiFinder) and the latest LaserWriter driver and Prep.

Hurrah for Letraset!

The weird thing is that this is the fifth FREE disk I've received in the
mail in the last month (some expected, others not). The other four being:

o	AutoMac III and Microlytics Thesaurus from Microsoft (a complete
		surprise)
o	Tempo II 1.0 from Affinity (I bought the Betaware release some
time ago, with a promise of a free upgrade to the Real
Thing when it was ready, but I didn't know when I'd get it)
o	Buick demo disk (requested via a tear-out card in MacWorld)
o	"The Best of UpTime" (free bonus for trying out MacWorld)

What is it about May? Harvest time in the software field?
