Select the DA from the DA menu. This is the standard way to bring a buried DA window to the front. -- Guido van Rossum, Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI), Amsterdam guido@piring.cwi.nl or mcvax!piring!guido or guido%piring.cwi.nl@uunet.uu.net

Desk accessories are put into the heap of an application called "DAHandler". Check its size resource with ResEdit to find out how big its heap is. (You could also change it there as well) Dan Allen Software Explorer Apple Computer

Like anything else in MultiFinder, check to see how much space is allocated by default for the DA Handler (the icon will be in you System Folder) using Get Info. It appears that the DA Handler will make "temporary memory requests" if necessary as well. On my machine (a Plus running system release 5.0) DA Handler is listed as a document, not an application, so the GetInfo box does not present the space dialog items. To look at its allocation, you must use Resedit (which shows 16000 as the Size and Min Size on my disk). /JBL UUCP: {backbone}!bbn!levin USPS: BBN Communications Corporation ARPA: levin@bbn.com 50 Moulton Street POTS: (617) 873-3463 Cambridge, MA 02238
