[comp.sys.mac] lots of tidbits

chuq@plaid.Sun.COM (Chuq Von Rospach) (06/16/88)

lots of random tidbits from various places:

According to todays San Jose Merc, Apple has formally turned down licensing
Display Postscript from Adobe. It included a quote from Gassee, among others.

Also, Lotus has announced that Modern Jazz is dead, shortly after announcing
that it was going to be delayed. They're going to be depending on the Mac
version of 1-2-3 to take over the market. [editorial comment: hah]

Two upgrade notes: I just got upgrade notices for two products: Excel 1.5
from Microsoft and 4th Dimension from Acius.

Excel 1.5 has many new features, color, full Multifinder support, and a host
of other toys. Registered users should have gotten an upgrade letter. If
not, contact Microsoft about it.

Finally, Acius has released 4D release 1.0.6, to handle problems with System
release 6.0. It's a free upgrade to registered customers. Again, you should
have gotten a letter from Acius on it -- if not, give them a ring.

Robert A. Heinlein: 1907-1988. He will never truly die as long as we
read his words and speak his name. Rest in Peace.
