First things first: Thanks for the many responses I received regarding my questions on Disk First Aid, 1 MB DIP boards and NUbus memory cards. TidBit #1: command S in Disk First Aid brings up a status box. TidBit #2: DIP = Dual Inline Package. It's OK for the Mac Plus and Mac II but not for the SE (not enough space). TidBit #3: Presently the NUbus memory cards cannot be used as contiguous RAM because the NUbus uses 32 bits of address. To use it the Mac OS will have to be totally rewritten. TidBit #4: The Mac II treats NUBus memory contiguously as of a ROM fix some time ago. OBVIOUSLY, TidBit #3 and TidBit #4 CONTRADICT each other. I got this information from some APPLE and NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR guys. So, please, help me find out which one is correct.
