We have a new Macintosh SE (quiet fan, Version 6 system) that seemed to arrive in good working order. Set-up was routine, the disk formatted fine & we were able to install the usual software packages with no trouble. Today, when the user tries to start the machine, it goes through the "Happy Mac" stage, shows the welcome message and runs the "Responder" init, the hangs with a system error (La Bomba.) The error message is 03. This is a Manintosh SE, 1 MB memory, Apple's internal 20MB hard drive, and no inits except for the "Responder" program from the Utilities disk #1. Can anyone shed light on a possible problem? What is system error 03? Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you for your support. -- Bill Douglass, TCADA "I dreamed I was to take a test, in a Dairy Queen, on another planet." L. Anderson
